In Skills & Raids Highly Compressed, every run starts with picking up your party and heading into a handcrafted dark fantasy zone. Your three characters are Shelldon the turtle tank, Clawrk the tiger DPS, and Owlivia the owl healer. Combat runs in real time, so you are actively firing abilities, watching cooldowns, and reacting to what enemies throw at you. Status effects matter a lot here. Ignore them and fights turn sideways fast. If things get complicated, a pause mechanic lets you stop and actually read what each skill and effect does before deciding your next move. Character positioning also plays into how fights play out, so you can not just stack everyone together and hope for the best.
When enemies go down, they drop resources and sometimes their own skills. That is where the extraction part bites. You have to get out of the zone with your loot intact. Anything left in a safe pocket survives a failed run, but the rest disappears. Back at camp, extracted materials go toward crafting gear and new skills. Quests push you to hit specific targets, gather resources, or use certain abilities in the field, and finishing them unlocks more equipment and skills. The loop is tight: run, fight, extract, craft, repeat.
