Amnesia: Rebirth Free Download is a first-person survival horror adventure from Frictional Games, the studio behind the Amnesia series. The story follows Tasi Trianon, who wakes up alone after a plane crash in the Algerian desert. Her memories are broken, her companions have disappeared, and she has no clear idea of what happened before the crash. While searching the harsh desert and the ruins around her, Tasi slowly discovers clues about her past and the people she was travelling with. What first appears to be a search for missing companions soon becomes something much darker.
Tasi’s journey takes her through abandoned caves, old military structures and strange underground ruins where something is always watching from the darkness. She has to keep moving while dealing with fear, limited supplies and creatures that cannot simply be fought. Light becomes important as the darkness begins to affect her state of mind, while matches, oil and other resources must be used carefully. Along the way, old notes, objects and memories reveal more about the mysterious world surrounding her. The story also brings Tasi face to face with painful memories connected to her family, making the journey more personal with every discovery.
The game puts strong focus on atmosphere and storytelling rather than constant combat. Tasi is vulnerable, so escaping danger and understanding the environment are often more important than confronting what is hunting her. Puzzles also stand between her and the answers she needs, while the changing locations gradually reveal a much larger mystery involving another world and an ancient civilization. For players who want to experience the story with less pressure, Adventure Mode provides a less frightening version of the experience.
